WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

Only an hour west of Houston, and you will find yourselves in the rolling hills of Austin County, at one of the state's newest bed and breakfasts.

Texas Ranch Life is the ultimate Texan experience, as you relax in the wildflowers, breathe in some of the fresh air, and explore the surroundings on horseback.

Spend your days on the 1800 acre Lonesome Pine Ranch, basking in the peace and quiet of the countryside. The ranch was originally settled back in 1823, and today the working ranch is home to bison, horses, and one of the country's largest registered Texas Longhorn herds.

The eight historic homes on the property, all dating back to the 1850s, are authentically restored and luxuriously appointed, giving you that modern experience surrounded by rich history. The home feature original paint, as well as antique furnishings and original rugs.  It really is a truly special experience.

All of the homes are different, and range in size, so you can either cozy up in The Cabin or Sunday House, perfect for couples, or you can really treat yourself and stay in one of the largest houses.

Each of the properties offer their own amenities, from the outdoor deck and grill in the Lakehouse, to the whirlpool bath in the two bedroom 1869 House, and the ceiling high fireplace in the impressive two-story, three bedroom Hacienda.

For those couples who love the great outdoors, Texas Ranch Life is perfect. Your days can be filled with fishing, mountain biking, painting, cattle drives and ranch work demos.

Texas Ranch Life is captures the essence and spirit of what makes Texas so great. Take your romance adventure into the great outdoors, and be inspired by the energy of nature.

Your ranch hosts, John and Taunia, will go out of their way to make your experience truly special, so see what all the fuss is about and enjoy that getaway with a difference.
