The Steamboat Inn is Mystic's only waterfront property, and offers you that beautiful and romantic escape in Connecticut that you may have been looking for.

 

Located in downtown Mystic, this 11-room luxury inn isn't on a steamboat (our first reaction!) but it does offer the finest amenities, and stunning views of the Mystic River.

 

The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated with antiques, with a warm and cozy ambience. Each room is unique, with a host of individual features that allow you to find the perfect room for you, as opposed to faceless corridors of numbered doors in larger hotels.

 

If you choose the Ariadne, you can bubble the evening away in the oversized whirlpool. Choose the Victoria, and you can watch the stars come out in the warmth of your wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy the floor-to-ceiling windows in Summer Girl, giving you expansive water views, or sleep under the cathedral ceilings in the Marie Gilbert room.

 

For those special occasions, look at the Kathleen - the largest suite at the Steamboat Inn. Hidden away on the first floor, it offers you water views from your private sitting area, oversized whirlpool tub, kitchenette, and a beautiful four poster bed.

Every morning, all guests can relax in the lovely George C. Moon common room where a full breakfast each morning will be served - including the famous Steamboat Delectable muffins.

 

The local area of Mystic has that classic New England nautical charm. Take to the waters on the ARGIA Schooner, sailing from Steamboat Wharf, or take advantage of the complimentary bikes the inn offers seasonally.
