WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this historic Portland 1906 Queen Anne mansion will transport you to another time.
The Lion and the Rose Victorian breakfast B&B is filled with period furnishings - from the parlor to the dining room. The exterior of the house features a stunning octagonal turret, as well as an iconic wrap-around porch, and grand columns.
It also features another Queen Anne convention of the arched window and balcony. This beautiful elegance extends out into the stunning English-style gardens, with brick pathways and fountains.
The B&B also has eight individual guest rooms with their own unique charm. Whilst the building and energy oozes history, the amenities are modern. Each room is awash with it's own colors, and decor that envelopes you in a warm, tranquil energy.
Come morning, you will head down to your hearty breakfast in their formal dining room. Flavors from fruit, ruffled crepes, herb eggs, and meats, to those more simple tastes of granola or hot cocoa. If you wanted to customize your stay, you can opt out of breakfast to make your stay more suitable for your budget if you desired.
At only 1.5 miles from downtown Portland, you are in the prime position to really experience this magical city.
The inn also happens to be located in the historic Irvington Neighbourhood - the first streetcar suburb. It is located in the perfect area if you want that romantic evening stroll down a quiet, tree lined street.
For that city experience, you are a stone's throw from restaurants, shops, and theaters. This vibrant city is ready to be explored, and the Lion and the Rose is the perfect romantic escape to a bygone era, whilst being in the midst of one of the most popular modern cities.
Take a step back in time with the Lion and the Rose. A charming, and quiet inn with a magical energy in stunning Oregon!
