WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

Step back in time to Virginia City in the 1860’s, with an escape to Edith Palmer’s Country Inn.
These beautiful period accommodations were built in 1863, and was once a cider factory. Edith Palmer transformed the property in 1948, and now you can become a part of the history too.
Today, your innkeepers Pat and Leisa will make your romantic Nevada experience everything you hope it will be.
The four guestrooms within the Edith Palmer House itself date back to 1863, and are just charming. The most requested room is Edith’s Room, where the sun will greet you gently each morning. History will surround you with the old iron and brass bed which dates to over 100 years of age.
Perhaps you want to stay in the room dedicated to the inn’s most famous guest - Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn graced the inn with her presence during the filming of Misfits, and a beautiful guestroom is named in her honor.
The two other guestrooms have just as much charm and warmth, so take a look around them all before you decide, which to book for your romantic getaway.
Edith Palmer’s Country Inn also features the Silver Street House, built at the turn of the century. Here, four additional guest rooms await you. Named after four Irish miners who were known as the Silver Kings of the Comstock, these rooms each feature their own personality and charm, offering beautiful views of the canyon, the gardens and the town.
During your time at this charming country inn, take the time to enjoy the property itself. You can surround yourself with history in the Main Dining Room - part of the original cider factory. Keep an eye out for the original sign. You can recline in front of the unusual fireplace created by stones taken from the Nevada hills.
Come evening, you can sip cocktails in the bar, or enjoy the sunset on the patio with the Sun Mountains and Six-Mile Canyon as your view.
A beautiful, charming and romantic experience in Nevada, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and step back to a time where romance was magical.
