With a history that dates back to the 1880's, Chebeague Island is one of the few waterfront inns along Maine's stunning New England coast. Once named The Hillcrest Hotel, and restored in the 1920s, it has long been a solid fixture in the island's community.

 

Today, the Chebeague Island Inn reflects the classic history through it's beautiful restoration, with the spirit of New England running through it's halls.

 

Only 90 minutes from Boston, this stunning inn is easy to access, giving you the perfect escape from the city, but being far enough away to feel like you've eloped. The design of the inn is reminiscent of a large, relaxing home, so you can feel at home during your stay.

 

Make sure you take the time to enjoy the inn, as well as the nearby areas. The homey living room is filled with games and books to enjoy in the light of their fireplace. The

Great Room is perfect to have a drink. As the sun sets, the Sunset Landing Porch is where you can recline in the oversized furniture, and just take in the ocean view. On those chilly nights, make sure you rug up with the blankets.

 

Complete with a firepit and cornhole, favorites as the evening draws to a close, this outdoor area is perfect for couples wanting to embrace the magical ocean air.

 

The guest rooms within this island home are small in size, yet beautifully decorated. No two rooms are the same, with custom Maine art and furnishings adding character to them. There are seven types of rooms to choose from, so you can really find the best for you.

 

Come morning, you can indulge in your tasty breakfast, filled with local produce from the nearby Second Wind Farm, found on the island. If you order lobster, you know it's courtesy of the local lobsterman who brings the daily catch to the kitchen each morning. Mussels are from Bangs Island, only three miles away.
