For those wanting a more private experience, there are four isolated cottages on the grounds near the Main House which don’t disappoint.  Decorated with the warm, country homestyle essence, these cottages are a pure romantics retreat.

 

Each cottage strives to give you the most luxurious, private and romantic stay you could hope for.  While the Ice House Cottage sits upstairs to Alexanders Room, and the Old Bath House shares a beautiful wooden porch with the Riverview, you can be assured the you will still feel that sense of privacy, seclusion, and most importantly, romance.

Wintertime!  If winter didn't appeal to the true romantic in you, then it will now.  Blantyre in the wintertime is truly magical.  Skate hand in hand on their frozen tennis court - turned ice rink, or indulge in mouthwatering oysters chilled on snowballs as you huddle around the fire.  It’s spectacular, and a time not to be missed.

Blantyre offer romantic picnic hampers for two which you can order one day ahead of your special lunch.  Take a blanket, get out into nature, and take in the clear, crisp New England air.  Read, talk, and relax under the inspiring nature around you.  Sometimes its good to lose track of time and get lost in the moment.

If you are about to indulge in their one of a kind dining room (it has to be experienced to be believed), you need to ensure you have your jacket and tie to hand, as they have a dress code.  But who doesn't love a reason to dress to impress?
